'Panfish Derby' at Cohoke Pond - June 2003 - Nat Burgwyn, David Bagby, and Winn Will have come through once again for the FFV membership and arranged for a "Panfish Derby" to be held at The Cohoke Club Pond on Sunday June 1, 2003. For the very reasonable fee of $3.00 for each adult participant, FFV members will be allowed to do their very best to reduce the bream, crappie, yellow perch, and white perch populations of the pond. Active fishing for bass and pike is not allowed and those species must be returned to the pond immediately. Fly rods, spinning gear , and even bait are allowed. This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Boat) event. Electric motors or paddle power only. Remember to bring life preservers. Anglers need to provide their own lunch and beverages. The derby starts at 9:00 a.m. To get to The Cohoke Club Pond take U. S. Route 360 east from Richmond to Central Garage. Turn right on U.S. Route 30 and travel 17 miles. Turn right on State Route 632 and go about 2 miles to the pond. To register call Nat, David,  or Winn.
