Trout Fishing Seminar “Where to find the native Trout Fisheries”

6:30-7:30 PM: Bill Pearsall, former president and current member of Fly-Fishers of Virginia (FFV), has been trout fishing Virginian mountain streams all his life. Bill will discuss our native brook trout fisheries, the most productive techniques and flies, and where to find some of Virginia’s premier mountain streams.

Trout Fishing Seminar “Fishing the Upper and Lower Jackson River

7:30-8:30 PM: Matt Thomas, guide at the Homestead Resort, will impart his knowledge of trout fishing the Homestead’s nearby Cascade stream, as well as the Upper and Lower Jackson River, one of Virginia’s most prized trout fisheries. Any Virginian trout angler will benefit from Matt’s vast knowledge of the Jackson River, and the most-suited flies and methods for catching prized trout.

6-9 PM: David Hart has lived and fished in Virginia for nearly 40 years, and his curious and investigative nature have afforded him a wealth of knowledge from fishing the smallest streams to the largest lakes, and everywhere in between. His book, “Flyfisher’s Guide to Virginia”, has been the single most important Virginia angling resource for years, and the author will be signing copies and sharing knowledge and stories of fly-fishing in Virginia.
